local post-processing service

Lucky us! Two local women have teamed up to create Pixel Chicks, a post-processing service! They are gathering data to see what the greatest need for photographers is. Please take a moment and complete their brief survey. The Pixel Chicks will be attending our spring luncheon in April to chat with us more about their services (details on the luncheon to be announced shortly).

ShootQ

UPDATE: The location has been changed to Stacey Kane's studio in Scarborough. Please email me, Stacey, or LaCour for details.

My dear friends from LaCour in Atlanta have designed an amazing web-based studio management software program for photographers called ShootQ. They have been on the road to educate photographers about their product since June, and will be making a stop at my new studio in Portland on November 14th. Be sure to take a peek at the informative ShootQ website here, and if it looks like something that might benefit you and your business, sign up for the set-up party here (attendance required to purchase the software). I love it, and I'm sure your business will benefit from it, too! ShootQ is also a sponsor of Roots Workshop.

photojournalism workshop

I am hosting a photojournalism workshop for wedding photographers in Cape Cod next summer (July 13-17, 2008). I've rented a house and have a great staff line-up. Curious? Take a peek at the website, www.rootsworkshop.com. If you're interested, please send me an email!
